edita vilkeviciute

I adore discovering successful models, who have more normal proportions like us, and I know you enjoy reading about them too, as it's an extra special boost of comfort and confidence. Here is Edita, a model from Lithuania, who does a lot of fashion shows and has an abundance of major campaigns in her resume. I think I first noticed her proportions in the all-white photo with Alessandra, and from there I found more photos to support my opinion, that she is not particularly long legged, in fact I would say she has a slightly long torso and normal legs. Take note that in all the photos she is wearing high heels, but her longish torso is nonetheless noticeable. In the last candid beach photo, she is obviously not wearing high heels and one can see her proportions are not otherworldly.

  1. Some models have a certain anorexic face like the gaunt skull face she has in the top pic.

I think there's an androgynous ideal of beauty. We seem to like, men who have a 'pretty boy' look to them like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp. Guys with feminine faces.

And we consider women who have tall leggy male proportions and a male look to faces such as their larger brow bones/foreheads and jaws which you can see clearly in the pic of her in the vest. In the photos I see of them, Cindy Crawford and Brooke Shields both seem to look even more increasingly like men as they get older.

Brooklyn Decker and Marissa Miller also have that big forehead pretty girl/boy look to them too. But, with boobs and big hair.

  2. Yes I see it in the red bondage dress and black two piece bathing suit, which places an emphasis on her torso.

However, with slim legs and wide shoulders it is much easier to hide proportions.

  3. I don't see the short leggy thing in any of the pictures.

  4. I think she looks leggiest in the black swim suit. The low neck, high waist and material make her extremely leggy.

In contrast look at the beige suit with the vest. It's high neck, one color, no waist detailing make her torso look endless, straight, and shapeless even with the vest.

  5. I see what you mean when you talk about her proportion; yes, she is longish through her torso. But, women like this don't really fit the 'Lady short leg' profile do they?

She is tall, with very little shape (she's not curvy, or shapely), her lower legs are long, something which many ladies with short legs, don't have - our lower legs are often short compared to our upper legs - and she is very, very thin (not to be confused with her lack of shapeliness).

I appreciate the empathy, but it's relevancy is slightly off the mark on this one.

But please, keep up the good work!

  6. To commenter above, I understand what you are saying, she does have skinny long legs, however I did recently get a request to include more models, and so I did. Thank you for your honesty though.

  7. It's like someone surgically removed not only her fat but all muscle in her legs and arms. Or liposuctioned it all out.

She looks like a human giraffe especially in the photo of her in front of the building with arches. Everybody else looks like they're on a different planet.

  8. I think she does have a long torso-shorter legs. She's is just tall and skinny so her legs appear shorter, but they're really not. I like the model posts because I'm tall so obviously I don't have short legs but in comparison to my torso I do just like Edita. You should check out Jeisa Chiminazzo, she also has short legs for a model.

  9. Sorry, I meant her legs appear longer...

  10. Wait... I'm sorry but I don't see it at all. She definitely has a long torso, but that is simply due to her height~ she certainly has very long legs as well. I think she's just tall.

  11. She is not that tall, she is 5'7"-5'8". Her torso is long for her height. Keep in mind she is in heels in most of these pics and skinny legs give the illusion of length.

  12. 5'7-5'8 IS tall! I agree that her torso is long but her legs are not even a little bit short... there is no way anyone could think that! Even with heels short-legged people STILL look short-legged. It's a sad truth

  13. I mentioned model Irina Shayk before(one of my personal favorites), but here are some pics to prove it:

She doesn't have short legs, but short legs in comparison to her long torso.

  14. Irina doesn't have short legs in comparison to her torso. She's proportionate. I've seen many pics of her. Her torso is very narrow so it looks long but it is not long in comparison to her legs like Bar or Alessandra.

  15. Hey, how about Camilla Belle. She definitely has a long torso in comparison to her body.
