catherine zeta jones
I remember reading in a magazine interview in the early 2000's how Catherine Zeta Jones spoke about having a long torso, it was in a Harper's Bazaar, or a W, as those were the ones we were subscribing to at the time. Well I cannot seem to find it anywhere online. Instead here are some photos of Catherine, however she is barley disproportionate, but take note the effect of the white cropped trousers, very unflattering. She does primarily wear dresses and skirts, looking beautiful and effectively hiding anything there might be to mask.

Her legs is thin, her torso is thick. So her legs don't seem short.
ReplyDeleteYou know, whoever, wrote the last post is onto something.
ReplyDeleteDid you see her on SNL when she hosted and did an intro dance number where she took off her clothes/dress to reveal a dance tank bodysuit?
Her body below the waist (belly/hips/legs) looked off, but I could never put my finger on it. But now think I think it's what the poster said -- very skinny legs and wide straight torso!
I wish I could wear cropped pants. They look so comfortable, and so enduringly popular. When will they go out of style and stop taunting me....
ReplyDeleteHow old is Catherine? She has a young face. Maybe, the thickness in the torso is how she gains weight as she ages. Do you think weight gain is different for people with short legs? They gain it in their torso instead of all over and in their legs?
ReplyDeleteShe's supposedly 40 years old, but where you gain weight depends on your body type....like if you're an apple, pear, etc. She's an apple so she'll keep gaining the weight in the midsection which totally helps in masking the disproportion and makes her legs look skinny, but she'll lose the waistline!
ReplyDeleteDo you think women with long torsos and short legs look better almost naked in bikinis then with clothes?
ReplyDeleteI saw some bad (I mean bad) photos of Rachel Bilson, Christina Ricci, Jessica Simpson in horrible fashion outfits and they almost look worse than they do when I've seen them here on this site in bikinis. Especially, if they're seated (not standing) they look great in photo shoots in lingerie or swimming suits etc. Anyway, just a thought. Maybe, the problem is really choosing the right clothing??!
Well, Catherine looks like she has longer legs in a bikini than she does in the cropped pants.
ReplyDeleteI think she is disproportionate, at least if one sees Kate Hudson as disproportionate. Actually more so I would say.
