poll - least flattering clothing

Here is a poll, we all adore polls. The question is, what type of clothing do you consider to be least flattering for our body type, of long torso with short legs. What makes us look the worst?
You can select more then one answer.

  1. I have long legs and a short torso I came upon this fascinating site by accident. It's quite informative especially the clothing tips. Pretty much everything you should not wear, I SHOULD wear and vice versa. Usually short torsos have long legs and vice versa - very few women are of perfect proportion. We all think OUR body flaws are the worst don't we? I hope there is a website for the short torso/long legged women - yes we do have problems finding clothing that fits and we tend to gain weight in our middles, unlike you long torso gals!

  2. Thanks for stopping by long legged girl. You made some good point's, and I sure there must be a site or blog, for your type of proportions. Best of luck.

  3. I just would like to add that most of us don't have any severe disproportions, only a certain body type:

Of course, the best body is balanced body (left), and both long legs (as the first girl has correctly noticed) and short legs require certain style of clothes. Long legs are also a "disproportion", but it has become popular due to fashion industry. And fat, as you've noticed, always accumulates on shortened areas.

  4. Also, I'd like to suggest a new character: Paris Hilton! Her legs are also on the shorter side, and she always wears heels. Only her situation is even worse: most of us have nice small shoe size, and she has a huge shoe size.

  6. How ironic that three of those options I sport at least once weekly... Oh well, I like my clothes too much to worry about hiding my disproportion

  7. I think it's evil that it's nearly impossible to find affordable shorts with a higher waist, instead of the ubiquitous low-rise! :(

  8. Paris Hilton is definitely an appropriate subject.
Here is a post about her form more then a year ago:

  9. Regarding affordable high waisted shorts, I am sure places like old navy, forever 21, target, and so on will have some.

  10. I've just discovered your blog and I can't find words to describe how much grateful I am! I'd like to say THANK YOU for what you do.
I'm very short (5'3") and my legs aren't even 80cm long. I'm also curvy, with very thin waist, big thighs and full hips, so I look much fatter than I am. It has always made me mad, especially that I'm seriously ill - I must operate my left knee and I can't wear high heeled shoes (anyway I wouldn't, I walk long distances everyday). After reading your blog I figured out that women with short legs can be sexy and beautiful! Thank you very much for that!
    Much Love,

  11. Marscha, my legs are less than 80 cm, I am 2 inches taller than you and still have longer legs than average. Your legs are fine by numbers:)
